Super heroes fly high at school

Super heroes stepped forward at Tadcaster Riverside School to test out their extra special learning powers.
Always looking for exciting and creative ways to motivate their pupils’ learning, staff have recently embarked on a new Superheroes topic.
“The infants in Year One have really taken to this theme,’ said Headteacher Ian Yapp.
“For several days now, when out on playground duty, I have noticed pupils flying around, practising moves and poses and firing webs.
“However, we are very keen to focus our pupils’ energy and make sure they all know exactly their expectations in any given situation, in order that they can save the day and keep everyone safe and so today has seen our very first (and possibly the first in Yorkshire) Superhero Training Camp!”
Mr Yapp added that there was also a serious side to the project work and “wonderful” creative writing and artwork, drama and workshop activities had been achieved.
