Sherburn in Elmet

The Peter Pan Charity shop: in Finkle Court is holding it's end of season sale from Monday, August 16 until Saturday, August 28. 2 a bag for clothes only, maximun 6 items.

The next meeting: of the Yorkshire Mardave model racing club is on Saturday, August 14 at the Eversley Park community centre. Doors open at 2pm for Oval racing followed by normal circuit racing at approx 5.30pm. Just turn up to see what goes on. Model car racing at pocket money prices.

A Tombola: is being held near the Peter Pan Charity Shop in Finkle Court on Saturday, August 21. 10am-2pm. All proceeds to the Peter Pan Nursery.

Sherburn bears annual fundraising event: is on Saturday, August 14 with an over and under match, over 30s v under 30s at 2pm preceeded by an under 8s fixture at 1pm barbecue, refreshments. bouncy castle, stocks- throw water at coaches, players and parents! and Tug of War something for all the family.

Church Fenton

A Summer fayre and Beer festival: is being held at RAF Church Fenton and The Fenton Flyer on Saturday, August 14,10-4pm

2434 Squadron Air training Corps: meets at RAF Church Fenton on Mondays and Fridays 7pm -9pm. Please report to the guardroom first and ask to visit the cadets. Phone 01937 557340 for more information.

Sherburn Art Club: meets Tuesday evenings at Church Fenton Village Hall 7pm -10pm. New members are always welcome, beginners to more experienced. For more information call Marlene 10937 557378
