Wetherby’s winter attraction Stockeld Park is appealing for budding actors with the Scare Factor to starr in their spooky Fright Nights from October 31 to November 3. Auditions will take place on September 29 from 11am-4pm.

A script is available for the audition process - for more information, please contact office@stockeldpark.co.uk call 01937 586101.

Successful candidates will take part in Stockeld Park’s Fright Nights; four nights of horror where the woodland surroundings are transformed into three scare zones – the Haunting Grounds, Zombie Outbreak and Gaunt Hill Asylum.

As we’re left wondering whether there is anyone out there that can be that blood-curdling and terrifying, Stockeld Park’s General Manager, Amy Thornton, says that ‘the Scare Factor auditions are actually a great chance for local actors and theatre enthusiasts to take part in a professional performance with a skilled theatre company.

“Our Fright Nights have become amazingly successful; it’s not your usual piece of drama, which makes it a rare, challenging and unique opportunity for Yorkshire communities and those from further afield to get involved.

“We have a range of speaking, non-speaking and ad-libbing roles, so there’s something for all performers to get their teeth into (excuse the pun!).”

In addition to being paid for the acting work, cast will have access to footage of the show to download which they can then use in their professional showreel.
