Pupils start year of faith

Youngsters from St Edward’s Catholic Primary School in Boston Spa recently released over 170 blue and yellow balloons to mark The Year of Faith.

On the 50th anniversary of the second Vatican Council Pope Benedict announced that 2013 would be the Year of Faith and called for people to renew and deepen their personal faith.

To mark the coming months, the Boston Spa pupils officially opened their prayer garden and set free the balloons with a special prayer written by each child.
