Police appeal after dogs kill pet rabbit

Police are appealing for a dog owner to come forward after a pet rabbit was killed.

The two dogs entered a garden on Grainbeck Lane, Killinghall, at 8am on Thursday, March 8, where they killed the rabbit which had been in a hutch.

The dogs are described as a Jack Russell and a larger grey and black dog.

PC Emma Newby, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The woman who witnessed this attack was left very distressed by the incident.

“I urge the owner of the dogs to contact the police as soon as possible.”
