Jewellery worth £3,000 stolen

jewellery worth £3,000 has been stolen by intruders who broke into a 90-year-old pensioner’s house.

The Wetherby resident, who police did not name, was in hospital when thieves smashed the back window of her house stealing a number of gold rings – including a diamond engagement ring and gold wrist watch.

The incident is believed to have happened sometime between Monday, January 23 and Wednesday 25 at Knights Croft, Wetherby.
