Guide dogs call to go walkies in Wetherby

Wetherby Guide Dogs are appealing for people and their four-legged friends to go walkies with them next month.

The group is organising a sponsored walk around the Ings on Sunday May 13 and they would like you and your four-legged friend to join them.A spokesman said: “It’s easy, fun – and it’ll make a huge difference to Guide Dogs.

“There is no minimum sponsorship required so raising money for Guide Dogs really is a walk in the park.”

The 30-minute walk will start at 10.30am from the Wellington cafe, near the Town Hall, and will follow a flat route around the Ings with the option of taking the railway track back towards town.

To take part, register in advance on www.gowalkies.org.uk or call 0845 600 6787, or phone local organiser Sue Evers on 07951 616155 and get family, friends and colleagues to sponsor the dog.
