Forecasting a bright future for village childcare group
BBC Look North weatherman Paul Hudson was invited to open a second Shadwell Childcare group in the village.
Due to ever growing numbers, the parent committee-run childcare provider opened its second site at Shadwell Methodist Church last Wednesday and Paul, who is also a local resident, was there to join in the fun.
Shadwell Childcare administrator, Helen Williams, said: "Shadwell Childcare began as Shadwell Playgroup in the church some 35 years ago.
"We moved into a purpose built building adjoining Shadwell Primary School five years ago but an ever expanding waiting list has created the need for another site."
The parent-run organisation operates a wrap around child care service for two to 11 year olds from 8am until 6pm.
