Chocoholics will delight at the treats on offer in a Wetherby showroom tomorrow.
Buns, cakes and sweet treats will be rolled out at Bathing Design Studio on Audby Lane, to help raise funds for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Sales director Jakki James hopes that people will support the event which she has organised to help repay the inspirational care given to her young grandson at the Boston Spa-based hospice before he died in February.
Thomas Pearson was just 14 weeks old when he died in Martin House Children’s Hospice after suffering breathing difficulties, yet to be explained, from birth.
Jakki has organised for Nuzzlets farm to attend the Big Chocolate Tea Party with a lamb who was named after her grandson, following an unforgettable encounter.
“While Thomas was in Martin House, in fact the day before he passed away, Nuzzlets farm paid them a visit with some little animals,” said Jakki.
“One of them was a four-day-old orphaned lamb.
“The little lamb was placed in the cot with Thomas and they both fell asleep together.”
Other attractions for the event, which will run from noon until 4pm, include a demonstration in the art of chocolate making by Thomas’s father and chef Tim Pearson, a special appearance by Martin House mascot Marty Bear, pamper sessions including manicures, as well as delicious cakes and buns to buy.
