Batchelors return to secure victory at charity golf day
THE Mayor and Mayoress of Ripon were the special guests when local charity Jennyruth Workshops held its second annual golf day.
Jennyruth is the chosen charity for Mayor David Elsy, and he and Mayoress Denise Bolland were present to make the awards at the evening prize giving ceremony.
There were 23 teams battling it out on Ripon's golf course, with the eventual winners being Ripon car dealer, Batchelors, repeating their victory in last year's tournament.
Learning disabled workers from the charity were involved all through the day, from meeting and greeting the teams on arrival to running the fundraising raffle and tombola and taking photographs of each team just before their tee off.
