The Met Office has issued another yellow weather warning for the rest of today (Wednesday January 21) and tomorrow (Thursday January 22).

The yellow warning for snow and ice has been issued for North Yorkshire and the Met Office has said there could be disruption to travel

Although snowfall is expected to die out through this afternoon and this evening but icy conditions are expected to continue.

However the forecast is far from certain at this stage, the chief forecaster said: “Surfaces will remain cold, especially over higher ground and where snow is lying, with ice expected to become the main hazard overnight.”
