As Wetherby residents are being asked to give their views on bus services cuts we are asking “what do you think?”.

Vote in our web poll to the right of this story.

A drop-in session will be held at Wetherby Town Hall next Thursday, February 14, as part of an overall review by public transport coordinator Metro.

Cuts to services to and through Wetherby are the 770 and X99 bus routes - which are being put forward ahead of a streamlined bus network in July.

The proposals will affect evening and Sunday routes, which run through a number of villages including Bardsey, Collingham, Thorp Arch, Boston Spa and Thorner. Meanwhile campaigners in the town have launched a petition in protest against the cuts, which was revealed in the Wetherby News last month.

The petition, which was set up by Wetherby bus user Paul Kirby, has gathered more than 100 signatures since it was set up last week.
