Volkswagen fans from across the north and beyond will arrive in Harrogate this weekend for the second Spring Dub Festival.

Last year, the Great Yorkshire Showground came alive with 3,000 enthusiasts gathering to compare campers, browse Beetles and parade their Polos.

The event returns to the venue this Sunday, March 2, and will fill more of the Yorkshire Event Centre.

The main feature of the event will be the “Show n Shine” competition where enthusiasts will clean, polish and shine their vehicles to compete in fourteen categories including; Best in Show, People’s Choice and voting is now open for Best Online.

Inside, products, services, entertainment and competitions will be on offer.

Highlights are expected to include a custom 1966 Volkswagen Westfalia Campervan with unique Pacha Ibiza paintwork and sound system signed by DJ Pete Tong.

Organiser and Director of Mighty Events, Bruce Emmett said: “We are delighted to be returning with a much bigger show and so much more on offer.

“We expect over 80 vehicles to compete across all categories of the Show n Shine and there will be variety of trade stands from VW parts to fashion accessories.”

Venue Manager, Richard Moorhouse, commented “Last year was an amazing success and I am delighted the event is returning bigger and better. It will be a must see event for the car enthusiast.”
