Youngsters from Thorner took to he stage recently to prove what a talented lot they are and to raise funds for their primary school’s Parents and Teachers Association.
The event was a sellout with over 200 attending and raised about £2000.
Competition spokesman Sarah Oates said: “We had 12 acts with about 20 children taking part.
“The standard was very high and it was a difficult decision for the judges.”
First prize went to eight-year-olds Roddy Robinson and Sam Oates as SRY with second place going to girl act Loony Chix - 10-year-olds Ciara Harrison, Emily Colliery, Naomi Oates and Maisy Orange.
In third place was 11-year-old Oliver Pickering as Olly P.
Sarah added: “We would also like to say a big thank you to 16-year-old Tadcaster Grammar pupil William Darley who did such a good job of our lights, sound and pa.
“He put in such a lot of hours doing the show.”
