Beer Festival: the Ulleskelf Beer Festival takes place in the village hall on Saturday, October 13 from noon until late when 15 local real ales, cider, perry, wine and soft drinks will be on offer as well as hot and cold food. Entry is by ticket only which costs £5 and this includes a souvenir glass and first half pint. Kelcbar Centre: this evening, Thursday, October 11 there will be a meeting of the Churches Together group Gateway starting at 7 30pm On Friday the coffee morning with raffle starts at 10 30am and on Monday, October 15 chair based exercises is from 2pm . Part 6 of the Alpha Course starts at 6 30pm on Tuesday and on Wednesday, October 10 the hairdresser will be at the centre from 10am and the regular Wednesday Bingo has eyes down at 7 30pm. Next Thursday, October 18 there will be art with Denise from 1-4pm.

Panto Time: oh yes it nearly is, for Tadcaster Theatre Company are to present the popular pantomime Cinderella in the Riley Smith Hall from Wednesday, November 7 to Saturday, November 10. There will be performances starting at 7 30pm on Wednesday to Friday but in a change to the usual format there will be a matinee at 1pm and the evening show will start at 6pm on Saturday, November 10. Tickets booked in advance will cost £10 with raised stalls and balcony £12 but tickets purchased on the door will cost £12 and£14. There will also be family tickets for four people consisting of one adult one child under 16 and two others bookable in advance which cost £35 or £42. Dru Yoga: a new class for autumn of Dru Yoga for complete beginners started on Wednesday from 1.30-2 30pm in the upper room of Tadcaster Methodist Church. Dru Yoga , with its foundations in ancient yogic tradition will help develop strength and flexibility, relieve anxiety and stress as well as back and joint pain and help wellbeing and positive health.

Stutton Council: there is to be a meeting of Stutton cum Hazlewood Parish Council tonight, Thursday October 11 starting at 7 30pm in Stutton Village hall. Members of the public are invited to attend and the agenda and minutes of the previous meeting are usually displayed on the notice board outside the village hall.

Peal Attempt: on Friday, October 12 at 10am there will be Peal Attempt at St Mary’s church on the centenary of the first peal on the bells.

Rainbow Through Rain: from 2-3.30pm on Wednesday, October 17 there will be another Rainbow Through The Rain drop in afternoon in the Boy’s Sunday School to help find hope in bereavement. The Rainbow Through the Rain afternoon takes place on the third Wednesday of each month when anyone affected by bereavement is invited to drop in for tea.
