Pupils at Pannal Primary School have kicked off Harrogate district’s Sport Relief 2014 fundraising campaign.
The school’s sports day extravaganzathis week saw students trying out a range of fun games and activities including creating a giant Sport Relief logo all in a bid to raise as much money as possible for Sport Relief.
Charlotte Smith, PE and Sports Specialist, said: “Students and teachers at Pannal Primary School love taking part in Sport Relief.
“It’s an excellent way to bring staff, students and the community together to get active, have fun and raise money for a great cause!”
The charity spends the money raised by the public to give extremely vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Yorkshire, the UK and throughout the world a helping hand to turn their lives around.
Schools that haven’t already signed up can still get involved in Sport Relief 2014.
Sport Relief encourages people to run, cycle or swim for charity.
The district always does its bit to help the event, which this year falls on the weekend of March 21 to 23.
