All Saints Church Spofforth: the service on Sunday, May 22 will be holy communion, 1662 version at 9.30am.

Spofforth Seniors: the May luncheon at the Castle pub will be at noon on Tuesday, May 24.

The Mobile Library: will visit Spofforth on Friday, May 27 at Stockeld Park 12.45-55pm, Spofforth Hall, Nichols Lane 1.45-55pm, The Railway Inn 2-2.15pm, Manor Garth bus shelter 2.20-2.35pm.

Kerbside Recycling: at Spofforth will be on Monday, May 23.

Spofforth in Bloom: has received the comments from the Spring judging of the Yorkshire in Bloom team ‘on a perfect sunny morning it was a delight to visit and judge Spofforth….Among the many gems seen the judges were impressed by the Ginny Greenholes new wildlife area and playground, the Millennium Garden and talking to Meghan and Chloe at the Spofforth Primary School children’s garden. The sign on the Castle Field reads-for the lasting benefit of the community which sums up all that is being achieved at Spofforth.’ (pull out all the stops for the Summer folks.
