Organisers of this year’s Bramham Park Fun Run are urging people to be inspired by the Olympics and sign up for the event.
Last year 450 entered and raised over £7,600 for Cancer Research UK.
“If you feel inspired by the Olympics, want to be the next Mo Farrah or would just like to enjoy a pleasant morning in the Yorkshire countryside, now is the time to enrol,” said organiser Ann Newton.
The year’s event starts at 10.30am on October 7 and is open to all, from the most serious runners to walkers.
“The 10km route is very challenging, the 5km not so hard,” added Ann. “Participants have returned to our event year on year and brought their friends and family.
This year money raised will support the research conducted in St James Hospital, Leeds by Professor Alan Melcher into using common viruses to destroy cancer cells.
The event is yet again being sponsored by local estate agents, Beadnall Copley, who will cover all the set up costs.
Entry is £8 for adults, £4.50 for children and £19.50 for families (maximum four people). Registration and sponsorship forms to Ann Newton on 01937 84147 or log on to www.bramhamparkfunrun.org.uk
