Scarcroft Christmas Break Holiday: as has become a tradition for a number of years now, the Britannia Coach of Tony Broome with Sandra as courier took residents along with friends from Bardsey, Collingham, East Keswick, Wetherby and Knaresborough to Tenby in South Wales for a five day pre Christmas break. Staying as we have done before at the Cliffe Norton sea front hotel, with fantastic views over the bay and harbour. This is a family owned hotel and the service and food is second to none, with entertainment each evening. The weather here, days before we went was appalling with heavy rain but it was bright sunny weather throughout the stay, and with no sign of the promised arctic winter. Although most visitor attractions are now closed for the winter, the coach made trips out on all days, Haverfordwest, St David’s, Pembroke Castle including a Christmas Market. The South West Wales scenery is fantastic also with a different route going, adjoining the Welsh National Park, and returning through Monmouth and alongside the Forrest of Dean and the Welsh Valleys. Thanks to John Midgley of Brandon Coaches for organising the trip.

Scarcroft Yoga: The Tuesday evening yoga classes have now finished for 2012. Next years classes commence on Tuesday, January 15. Details from Karmal Sahota 07587 886799.
