Scarcroft Development Meeting: the parish council held a public meeting at the village hall to discuss the development proposals for the area. Basically Scarcroft has been deemed unsuitable for much development mainly due to few amenities. The Scarcroft development group had suggested the npower site but this is regarded an industrial/commercial site. Currently there is a large area towards Tadcaster, Headley Hall, where virtually a new complete village is proposed together with the planned Grimesdyke site near Seacroft, this will provide most of the government requirements in North Leeds. The consultation process is on going and you are asked to sent your comments to Local development Framework, Leeds City Council, Thoresby House, 2 Rossington Street LS2 8HD or via e.mail email@example.com
Parish Walk: the second parish walk took place on Monday, again with good weather. Leaving the New Inn it went across the east of the village. Returning via Hetchell woods. A turn out of 21 plus dogs and children took part including half a dozen first timers. The final walk is on Monday, June 24 leaving the New inn 7pm. All welcome.
