People are being urged to get the festive season off to a flying start to help raise a sackful of funds for Martin House Children’s Hospice.

The Clifford-based facility for children and young people with life-threatening conditions, is to stage its annual Santas on the Run event at Stockeld Park on Sunday November 30.

Events Manager at Martin House Gemma Cross said: “We are really excited to be holding our Santa Run at Stockeld Park again.

“This will be a fun event in a wonderful Christmas environment. We hope that lots of people from across the local area will sign up to support us.

“By taking part in our Santa Run you will be helping to raise the £4.9 million that we will need in 2015 to provide care and support to the children and their families that need us across Yorkshire.”

Entrance to the run, which can be anything from 1km-5km run, is £10 for adults and £5 for the under-16’s, and will include a free Santa suit and goody bag.

Registration is at 8.30am and the run will start at 9am. To sign up phone 01937 844569, email
