STAFF and customers at Sainsbury’s in Tadcaster were given a sight for sore eyes - store manager James Dale being given a full leg wax!

Local beauty salon The Works were on hand to administer the painful proceedure - as the store raised around £3,000 in total.

Store Press Officer Christine Shaw said: “There was a fantastic atmosphere all day.

“All staff dressed as the opposite gender, we had an all day coffee shop and bottle tombola.

“It was a really good day and we appreciate the effort both staff and customers went to.”

Meantime, Sainsbury’s also handed out prizes to their ‘Create a Conk’ competition.

The top prize winner scooped a bicycle helmet, from Cyclesense, and Fantastic Mr Fox DVD.

Second place won a bag of jewellery and a large Easter egg while third prize won a giant Easter egg.
