Wetherby-based radio station Tempo FM is searching for new presenters.

The station, which has broadcast news and entertainments programmes for nearly nine years, needs volunteers to meet its new plans.

“As part of our expansion programme we are looking for enthusiastic, experienced presenters to join our dedicated daytime line up,” said programme controller Stuart Robinson.

“We are particularly looking for someone to join our Saturday team as a roving reporter covering the many wonderful local events that take place in and around the Wetherby area.

“We have a number of other exciting opportunities up for grabs across our schedule too.”

The station has operated from a modern studio complex based in the One Stop offices for the past two years after leaving its Engine Shed base.

“If you’re passionate about creating truly engaging local radio we want to hear from you,” added Stuart.

“As a community station our roles are unpaid but we can offer you the chance to be heard across a potential audience of up to 29,000.
