Tadcaster proud to disply a real community production

THIS is the fruit of half-term labour proudly displayed at Sainsbury’s in Tadcaster.

Tadcaster Store Deputy Manager Andy Mather, left, andand Manager James Dale with the mural painted by school children, their families, store staff and even the police.

The project was carried out at Tadcaster Grammer School and was designed by local artist Britt Chadwick as part of a partnership with Sainsburys.

Students from St Johns Catholic school for the deaf in Boston Spa all signed the border.

“We are really proud of this piece of art created by local people for local people to be able to admire whilst in doing thier shopping,” said Sainsburu’s PR ambassador Chris Shaw.

“It is a first for Sainsburys and we are proud of the fact that our Regional Operations Manager is so impressed with Tadcaster’s efforts he would like to introduce similer throughout the company.

“““e are really looking farward to working with the community once again throughout the year.”
