Paralympian to switch on lights
The former Wetherby High pupil became the first Briton since 1988 to win a medal in two sports at the same Paralympics and will star alongside ITV presenter Christine Talbot to perform the ceremony at 7.45pm,
The event, organised by Wetherby Business Association (WBA) and starting at 6pm in and around the Market Place, will also feature a performance by the City of Leeds Pipe Band, fairground rides, market stalls and more.

Hide Ad“Kadeena returned from Rio 2016 Paralympics with two gold medals no less,” said WBA chairman Alan Beardmore who thanked all those who have supported the event and the volunteers.
And tomorrow evening the Bramham will switch on their Christmas lights at 7pm, with the entertainment, including carols and music from schoolchildren, starting at 6pm.
This is the second year the village has put on a festive display.
Organising committee chairman Keith Innocent said: “The lights in Bramham have become a must see event in the village and have grown bigger and better.”
“The whole atmosphere in the village gets very seasonal once the lights are on.”
