Thorp Arch-based Bottle Alley Glass is joining with The Muse in Wetherby for a Marmite Glass Jar Recycling Day on Saturday November 17 with 1p of every jar donated at the Muse between 10am and 5pm, going to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK. Bottle Alley will then smash the jars and fuse a special range of products.
A special edition “Love it or Hate it” Marmite based food menu will also be available on the day.
The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK supports 1,000 people affected with PWS in the UK, some 90 odd based in Yorkshire. There is no cure for PWS, so sufferers and their carers need the long term support provided by the PWSA charity.
Bottle Alley Glass acquired in March by daughter and father partnership Philippa and Alan Ashbee take recycled and rejected glass bottles and containers and fuse them into unique products for the domestic and commercial sectors.
