Scouts and cubs had a had a busy time at the Boston Spa Peace Garden last week when creating a bug hotel.

Through a system of pulleys they hauled a discarded gate post up the slope where they made it into a bench; dug a trench in preparation for planting hawthorn hedging, and prepared the Garden for Easter by creating an Easter scene.

Rev Susan Greenhart said: “Brilliant work and fantastic to see them having so much fun. The garden looks great. I’d like to thank them and all the leaders too.

“And a quick reminder we’ll be having our Sunrise Service here on Easter morning for early birds at 5.45am. All welcome.

Boston Spa Scout Group has over 80 young people and caters for 6-14 years.

The group works to enable young people to enjoy outdoors adventures, gain confidence, interact with others.
