Martin House Children’s Hospice will be taking part in a World Hospice and Pallative Care day this October.
On Saturday October 12 a unified day of action will take place to raise awareness, to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world.
To show its support Leeds-based choir “Masterworks Chorale” is holding a concert at St Mary’s Church, Boston Spa in aid of Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Sarah Tarpey, West Yorkshire Community Fundraiser at the Hospice, said:
“We are hugely grateful for the support of the “Masterworks Chorale” choir, and immensely excited about their forthcoming concert at St Mary’s.
“Each year Martin House cares for around 340 Yorkshire children and young people with life-limiting and terminal conditions, and their families, as well as over 120 bereaved families.
“Quite simply, without the support and generosity of our many friends, we would not be able to continue with our work.”
“We hope that the local West Yorkshire Community will embrace this opportunity to support our children, and be a part of what promises to be a wonderful evening.”
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets/further information can be obtained at www.heritagechorale.org.uk or on 0113-243 1605.
