MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough, who worked in the past to make Harrogate a Fairtrade Borough, joined Fairtrade Harrogate volunteers running the Fairtrade Fortnight Coffee Day at St Peter’s Church.
He brought his own homemade soup and helped the team clear tables.
Andrew said: “Fairtrade is important. It is paying people a fair price so that they, their families and their communities can see real improvements in their everyday lives.
Our spending choices here in Harrogate and Knaresborough have a real effect on the everyday lives of farmers and producers in many of the world’s poorest economies.”
