Harrogate man stable after being hit by car on Station Parade

A Harrogate man is in a stable condition at Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) after being hit by a car on Station Parade yesterday afternoon (May 9).

Police were called to the scene at the York Place junction at 1.19pm after reports that a black Vauxhall Astra had crashed into a man.

The man, in his late thirties, was left with head injuries following the crash and Yorkshire Air Ambulance as well as an ambulance crew were called to the scene.

He was taken by road ambulance to Harrogate District Hospital before being transferred to the LGI for specialist care.

The man sustained head injuries during the crash but is now said to be in a 'stable' condition at hospital.

Police closed the road before collision investigators arrived at the scene.
