A 26-mile bike ride in May will help to raise funds for the Stockeld Park group of Riding for the Disabled.
A trial event last year proved so popular that organisers have planned another ride which they hope will attract around 100 cyclists.
The RDA Marathon Bike Ride will be held on Sunday, May 18 and will start and end at the Cafe and Bistro on the Thorp Arch Trading Estate.
Cyclists, issued with maps, are promised an easy route with no big hills which will use roads through Tadcaster, Bolton Percy, Appleton Roebuck, Bilbrough, Askham Richard, Catterton, Healaugh and Wighill.
The entry fee is £20 or £70 for a team of four entering before May 4. Entries on the day are £30.
To enter email Pauline Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org to request an entry form.
The money raised will help the group to provide weekly riding lessons for children with physical and learning difficulties from four local schools - West Oaks and St John’s School for the Deaf in Boston Spa and The Forest School and Springwater School in Knaresborough.
