For many visitors the Great Yorkshire Show, now in its 156th year, is something of a family affair.

Parents take their children because they themselves were taken when they were young, and many begin attending in their very first year.

Along with the animals, spirit of competition, and royal visitors, this is among the best traditions at the show, and one that has been handed down the generations.
