More than 1,000 people have already signed up to take on the fearsome Yorkshire Warrior in April.
The 2013 ‘tough mudder’-style event was the first of its kind in Harrogate.
Hosted at Spa Bottom Farm on the Rudding Estate, the 16km challenge includes hills, a 200m river walk, underground tunnel and ice bath.
Organisers Danielle Brown and Ian Bush are promising new obstacles for participants to tackle on the April 12 event.
Danielle said: “We had a fantastic first event in 2013.
“People showed real camaraderie, grit and determination and we hope to welcome up to 2,500 people to register to take part for our second.
“It will be a different course this year, with plenty of mud, water and new obstacles.”
The scale of the event means organisers are looking for volunteers eager to help run the event.
Danielle said: “The obstacles are tough. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help on the day.
“We need people to help encourage and motivate our participants as they combat the ten miles of tough challenges.
