A Tadcaster shop is offering customers two chances to support a good cause by enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

Family-owned knitting and haberdashery shop Needlecase is taking part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday, September 27, raising money to help people affected by cancer.

However, to give customers more chance to support the charity, Needlecase will be offering coffee, tea and cake on Saturday, September 28, too.

For those who want to learn a new skill at the same time as supporting Macmillan, there are several fun workshops being held, lasting around 30-40 minutes.

For just £5, participants can learn how to make a felt gift bag to take away – and take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at the same time.

There will be a range of cakes and drinks available for everyone who calls in to Needlecase, at 22 Kirkgate, on Friday, September 27 from 7-9pm and on Saturday, September 28, 1.30-3.30pm. All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Needlecase is also offering a 10 per cent discount on any products bought during these times. To book a place on one of the workshops, call Needlecase on 01937 830422.
