A team of marathon runners handed over £5,000 to Clifford-based Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Hunters Estate Agents, which has offices in Wetherby, saw its directors Martin Robinson and Kevin Hollinrake and Martin House trustee Stephen Plews complete the very first Yorkshire Marathon last October to raise the cash.
Martin Robinson said: “I know the difference that this money will make to the children and their families who use Martin House.
“It enables the parents to experience a break from the reality of caring for a child with a life-limiting illness 24 hours a day, knowing their child is being expertly and lovingly cared for, and that brief respite is so important.”
Hunters have supported Martin House for over 12 years through various fundraising activities.
Martin added: “We are pleased to have been able to support Martin House for many years and look forward to raising more money in the future.”
Events Manager, Caroline Hudson, said: “Well done to the team of runners and thanks to all of the staff at Hunters for your ongoing support.
“We rely heavily on donations to raise the money that we need to keep Martin House running.
“Annually we support 340 children and their families, and 100 bereaved families across the Yorkshire region. Many thanks from everyone at the hospice.”
