Activities have been increased for 45-year-olds and over at Tadcaster Leisure Centre.
The Active Life sport and leisure group - which runs sessions promoting physical activity, sport, healthy ageing, well-being and fitness - was re-launched earlier this month.
The group has been running ‘pay and play’ badminton to its members for several years, but now offers a more diverse range of activities including Boccia, health walks, Nordic walking, badminton, table tennis and new age kurling.
James Chapman, Sports Development Coordinator (Physical Activity and Health) at WLCT, which manages the centre on behalf of Selby District Council, said: “The Active Life members are really friendly and welcoming and sessions are suitable for all ability levels.
“Now we’re providing new activities there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”
Diane Rhodes, a member of the group, said: “Myself and the rest of the members are looking forward to trying out the new range of activities and new people joining the group.”
The session takes place at Tadcaster Leisure Centre on Mondays from noon-2pm and costs £3.50.
