A £2million state-of-the-art dental centre of excellence has opened its doors on the Harewood Estate.

Dental Excellence is the collaboration of four of the UK’s top dental authorities who aim to provide complete care to anyone that may need treatments following trauma, dental disease or for cosmetic reasons.

Dentist Donald Sloss said: “Our centre focuses on the more complex dental procedures including advanced restorative dentistry, cosmetic restorations, orthodontics, endodontics and dental implants.

“The market for complex and intricate dentistry is growing in the UK.

“A few years ago it was all about veneers but there are now much more conservative options for patients that may need treatment following trauma or simply for cosmetic purposes.

“With the expertise and technology that we now have in place it is possible for patients to visit and walk out with a new smile within the same day.

“But it’s not just about complex and seemingly expensive treatment. Some of our life changing treatments can cost just a few hundred pounds.

“Last week we treated a ten-year-old after her front teeth broke following a fall. We were able to reattach the broken pieces straightaway.”

Dentists Donald Sloss, Mark Willings, Jon Swarbrigg and clinical dental technician Mark Price are all extremely well accomplished and award-winning practitioners of world standing, each with their own expertise.

Mr Sloss was one of the first dentists in the country to become a fellow in General Dental Practice of the Royal College of Surgeons in England and won Dentist of the Year in 2011.

Nearly £2 million has been invested to convert the once derelict property on the Harewood estate to provide a remarkable new establishment that is already drawing significant attention from the dental industry and putting the area on the worldwide map for dental excellence.

A spokesman for the group said that a significant part of the offer at Dental Excellence is the educational facility which is open to dentists and other dental professionals locally and nationally.

Bespoke training courses are available to dentists covering complex procedures through to customer service and marketing to aid with developing their own practice.

There are facilities for live demonstrations with highly experienced educators leading the sessions.

Dentists can book for training but are also encouraged to refer patients where more specialist and complex treatment is required.

Market leading product developers and manufacturers, which regularly call upon the partners of Dental Excellence for product trialling and expert feedback during development stages, are already booking use of the facility for world exclusive demonstrations.
