A seven-year-old Harrogate karter has been signed up by the UK’s most successful karting team.

Fusion Motorsport has signed up Harrogate’s super boy kart driver Maxwell Dodds just days before his eighth birthday - the qualifying age for cadet kart racing.

The move follows winning performances in Bambino kart classes and recording impressive test track times recently in Lanzarote.

As a result, Max has been fast tracked to join the Fusion Motorsport main team earlier than planned and becomes the youngest driver ever to join the team.

Max, who lives in Harrogate and a pupil of Belmont Grosvenor School, Birstwith, will make his cadet championship debut in the IAME Little Green Man Championship at PF International Kart Circuit at Grantham on April 6.
