harewood House is to host the latest in a series of Wrap Up and Run events organised by Age UK to help keep older people in Leeds warm in winter.
The 10k on Sunday March 18 will set off at 10am and will see the Age UK Leeds running team including architects, a student nurse and co-ordinator set out in their brightest thermals.
Susan Partridge, long distance athlete and ladies winner of the Abbey Dash for the second year running is supporting the team with 10k top tips to keep them on track.
“The Harewood House 10km is a challenging but interesting course that allows runners to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Harewood Estate,” she said.
“I wish the Age UK Leeds team the best of luck but have no doubt their fundraising efforts for such a deserving cause will be a great success.”
Eve Fayle, fit as a fiddle co-ordinator at Age UK Leeds said: “This will be the second 10k run for the team and we’re ready to take on the challenging route at Harewood.
“Our first team run was at the Abbey Dash last November but with thanks to Susan Partridge, we have the all important, pre, during and post race tips to get us through to the finish line!”
