The Church of St Joseph and St James Follifoot: the service on Sunday, December 1 will be morning prayer at 9.30am

Kerbside recycling: at Follifoot will be on Wednesday, December 4.

Crime figures: from September 15 until October 15 there were no crimes recorded in Follifoot. The police remind us that, with the darker nights and the putting back of the clocks, criminals will have better opportunities. Properties are vulnerable in the early evening especially if one is going to collect children from school, for instance. If you can leave the lights, radio or TV on this will give the impression that someone is at home. PC Mark Ayre is always available on 101 or saferknaresborough@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk

Follifoot Cricket Club: congratulations to Helen Mitchell of Leeds whose number, 27, was the winner of the club 49ers draw on Saturday, November 2. Helen’s number was the bonus ball in the national lotto draw on Saturday and she wins £100. Helen will not be known to many people in Follifoot but she is certainly very well known to web master and lottery organiser Peter Wood. She is his mother-in-law! Looks like I shall have to be nice to her now that she is rich. Remember that next month’s draw is the £500 Christmas draw. Congratulations to all the following prize winners 2013 for our senior teams: highest aggregate of runs : James Ford; highest aggregate of wickets: Alex Fox; 1st team batting: Nick Robinson; 1st team bowling: Alex Fox; 1st team fielding: Dave Wright; 2nd team batting: Paul Townsend; 2nd team bowling: Stephen Goalen; 2nd team fielding: Mike Milligan; 3rd Team batting: Ben Miley; 3rd team bowling: Alfie Stackhouse; 3rd team fielding : Euan London; evening league batting : James Ford; evening league bowling: Alex Fox: evening league bowling.
