for the second year running Jones Homes is joining other local firms to sponsor Barwick-in-Elmet’s Yorkshire in Bloom bid.
The Yorkshire house builder, which entered the village last year with its popular Millers Croft development, is showing its support by sponsoring the flower baskets which adorn the community.
For the past 16 years, passionate villagers have encouraged community conservation and a green spirit which has resulted in winning gold in Britain in Bloom in 2009 and an award every year for the past 15 in Yorkshire in Bloom.
Jayne Swift, sales and marketing director at Jones Homes (Northern) Ltd, said: “The area looks stunning and schemes like this really make Barwick such a picturesque and sought after village to live in.
“We are therefore delighted to continue showing our support for such a worthwhile, valuable cause.”
John Tinker, Chairman of Barwick-in-Bloom, said: “We are really grateful to Jones Homes for its support.
“This competition is not just an opportunity to win a prize; we aim to improve the facade of the village and give residents a pleasant environment in which to live. I am proud to be working with Jones Homes and keep our village looking such a great place.”
