Selby Council has prosecuted 19 more people under a bylaw introduced to tackle late night anti-social behaviour.
Among those who appeared at Selby Magistrates Court to face prosecutions for urinating in the town’s streets were two Sherburn-in-Elmet residents.
Liam James Quirk (23) of Pasture Way, Sherburn-in-Elmet, was fined £75, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge, and £140 legal costs.
Scott Walton (22) of Moor Lane, Sherburn-in-Elmet was fined £75, £15 victim surcharge, and £140 legal costs.
Leader of the Council, Mark Crane, said, “Our message is simple, if you engage in anti-social behaviour then there will be serious consequences.”
“Residents have to know that we are working hard to ensure our district is protected from this kind of behaviour.”
