Event boosts Tadcaster Treat

Christine Bleasby and 60 of her friends at Dintingdales Restaurant in Scarthingwell raised £800 for the Tadcaster Treat annual dinner.

Christine, who is the secretary of the Tadcaster Treat Association said she was delighted with the support she received.

Attending were several of her friends from Calcaria Lodge, the Tadcaster branch of the Freemasons, including the current Worshipful Master Derick Godfrey. To her surprise he presented her with a cheque from the Freemasons Local Charity of £182 making the total profit of the evening £800.

The Treat annual dinner celebrated its 70th anniversary in March this year and will next be held on March 25 2017.

Tadcaster residents who are aged 70 years or more are eligible to attend. It is a fun day where a hot meal and entertainment is provided and is held in the Riley-Smith Hall, Tadcaster.
