It was an evening of glitz and glamour with every mode of transport imaginable as Tadcaster Grammar School hosted its Year 11 prom.
Students arrived in stretch limousines, vintage cars, vans, sports cars, a Rolls Royce, a Porsche, a Bentley, a motorcycle and even a recovery truck, much to the delight and amusement of crowds of proud families and onlookers.
The celebration took place once again in the grand surroundings of Toulston Lodge with dancing and partying in the specially erected marquee.
“It was a very special evening,” said headteacher Geoff Mitchell.
“I have never seen so many people gathered to cheer the students on and I have to say the spectacle of them arriving was truly amazing.
“It is obvious that the friendships they have built over their years at Tadcaster Grammar School will continue and I would like to wish every one of them continued success for the future.”
