Clifford-based High Trees Day Nursery is to celebrate its 50th anniversary this month.
And bosses at the facility, which was built just off Boston Spa High Street in 1963, said they face a busy and exciting year ahead.
Owner Ed Moore said: “It has been a personal pleasure to be a part of the nursery, watching it grow and thrive over the years.
“The warmth and friendly atmosphere here is due to our amazing staff, many of whom have been with us for over a decade.”
He said plans for the future include providing the opportunity for children to take French classes and a PE instructor to take fitness indoors and outside in the garden.
A herb and vegetable plot will also be established to help children, who range from birth to five years, cultivate their gardening skills.
