There were big celebrations at Outwood Academy Ripon where for another year students produced a record set of A-level results.
More students than ever before have achieved A and B grades and 100 per cent of its students achieved at least two A-level grade or equivalent at A*-E grade.
Principal Angela Sweeten said: ”I am incredibly proud of our students’ excellent work ethic and commitment and the support and dedication of all our staff, governors and Outwood Grange Academies Trust.”
Sir Michael Wilkins, chief executive of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, added: “I am delighted with the leadership of Rob Tarn, executive principal, and that of Angela Sweeten, principal.
“We are very proud of all our students and thank all parents, staff and governors for their continuous support in helping all students to achieve their potential.”
The school said notable achievements to be applauded were: Jay Stelling, head girl, who achieved A-level grades A,A,B,B and will begin a Foundation Degree course at Leeds College of Art; James Gault, head boy, who achieved A,A,B, merit and will start a graphic design degree at Northumbria University; Shauna Cook, who achieved a B,B, Dist* and will begin a degree course in fashion journalism at Epsom University.
All Academy students applying to university have secured their first choice places.
