TWO people have died and another is in a life-threatening condition in hospital following a collision near Harewood.
A Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with an HGV at the junction between the A659 Otley Road and Weardley Road, at around 7.30pm on Wednesday.
Two women, the 58-year-old driver and 85-year-old front-seat passenger of the Corsa, both died at the scene. A rear-seat passenger, aged 85, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance where her condition was yesterday described as very poorly. All three are understood to have been from the Sunderland area.
The lorry driver was not injured in the collision.
