Third arrest in Boston Spa post office raid

A third person has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at Boston Spa post office last March.

The 17-year-old from Leeds, has been charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and aggravated taking of a vechicle without consent.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Youth Court today (Tuesday May 26).

Mark Pick, 41, of Lea Farm Road, Leeds, was arrested on Friday, March 3, and has been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Martin James Pick, aged 38, of Willow Avenue, Clifford, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court last month charged with robbing the post office in High Street.

He was also charged with possessing a firearm with intent to commit robbery.

A 32-year-old woman, who was arrested in connection with the incident, was released on police bail.

The post office was raided by armed robbers on March 23 and a member of staff was injured as he tried to stop them.

A white Nissan Juke stolen in a burglary in Wetherby in February, was later found burnt out nearby Beeches End.
