Theft of £25,000 dancing hares sculpture in Kirk Deighton

A £25,000 bronze sculpture of two dancing hares has been stolen from a garden of a house in Kirk Deighton.

The art sculpture is of two dancing hares and is one of a limited edition of thirteen. It is valued at around £25,000

It was taken from a garden of a house in Kirk Deighton, between 7pm on Friday 14 June and 9.30am on Saturday 15 June 2013.

PC Charlie Ferguson, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you have seen the sculpture since the theft, I ask that you contact the police straight away.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who has been offered the item for purchase, such as art or scrap metal dealers, and ask that they get in touch.”
