The crash happened on the west-bound carriageway at around 1pm on Wednesday, June 10.

Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction and came to rest approximately 15 feet down a grass verge following the crash. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage as result of the impact.

The driver of the Ford Transit suffered minor head injuries and was treated at York District Hospital.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles prior to the crash, to contact them.
